March 2011 Pony Tail
The annual March Pony Tail Tournament provides good matchups of teams from Pennsylvania and north versus teams from Maryland and south. Tier II teams from any USA Hockey District or Canadian province are welcome. The more the merrier, and we'd really like to see Canadian teams, and more teams from the Midwest and Northeastern U.S. All divisions will be staged at York, Pa. and Lancaster, Pa. March 18-20 2011

TOURNAMENT RULES
Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Reisterstown, Maryland have been added as locations for this tournament.
York, Pa. is just 30 minutes from Hershey, Pa. (Chocolate Town, USA) and the Giant Center, home of the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. It is also just 30 minutes away from Lancaster, Pa. and Pennsylvania Dutch country. Mount Pleasant Ice Arena and the new Reisterstown Sportsplex are located in the Baltimore area, about 75 minutes from Philadelphia, an hour from Washington, D.C., 40 minutes from Annapolis and near Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

Worthy cause: The Pony Tail is hosted by the non-profit Susquehanna Rapids Girls Hockey Program. A portion of any proceeds from the event goes to the Patterson Park Stars, (right) a hockey program for underprivileged children in Baltimore City and a community service project of one of our parent clubs, Baltimore Youth Hockey. The tournament is hosted by the Susquenanna Rapids Girls Hockey Program, Baltimore Youth Hockey, the York Ice Hockey Club and Howard County Youth Hockey Club.
